The Barbarian Archaeology series (“Archeologia Barbarica”), published by SAP Società Archeologica (Mantua), was initially created for the publication of the Barbarian Archaeology Meetings proceedings, but the inclusion of other works is planned.
The series focuses on the movements of Barbarian peoples and establishment of Roman-Germanic kingdoms in Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages in their various material manifestations (settlements, material culture, funerary rituals and religious buildings), examined from a multidisciplinary perspective. It privileges data, themes and methods of national significance and original character.
It is coordinated by Barbarian Archaeology’s Specialist Committee (Work Group) and with expert assistance and financial support from the National Archaeological Museum of Cividale del Friuli.
The series will be subject to peer review.
